with the “acoustic ambient ensemble,” i continue to develop my work between compositional research, improvised structure, and emotional repetition. the focus is on repeatable musical cells—as a collective practice, as a space for perception, development, and reflection on form.
the ensemble, founded in 2025, brings together musicians from cologne, berlin, leipzig, and basel who have already worked together in previous projects such as the aurora octet (german jazz award 2025), fallen crooner and my ensembles theconsistencyofdestruction and the pascal klewer big band.
september 2025 we spent a week rehearsing, playing several long-durational performances in churches (st. kunibert and st. Helena) and produced our debut album during our 4-day residence at the prestigious chamber music hall in köln by the german radio broadcast.
